Where We Started

Off the Couch Coaching started with two brothers, the same goal, and completely different brains.

Jackson was the kind of person who could dream big, start strong, and fizzle out fast. Motivation came in waves—follow-through was the hard part. He tried everything: planners, programs, apps, alarms, accountability partners. Nothing stuck. Not because he didn’t care, but because his brain didn’t work the way traditional systems expected it to.

James was different. He had the degrees, the discipline, the spreadsheets. But even he found himself stuck in cycles—super structured one week, completely checked out the next. As a psychology grad and health coach, he knew what to do… but even knowing wasn’t always enough.

Together, we realized something important:
Most coaching programs are built for people who already know how to follow through. OTC is for the rest of us.

We don’t believe success comes from pushing harder or being more disciplined. It comes from having a system that works with your brain—not against it. A system that includes flexibility, check-ins, small wins, and the right kind of support. That’s what we built. And now, it’s what we offer you.
